The Opportunity

Join the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) as a Data Analyst to and work closely with our Victorian Injury Surveillance Unit (VISU) and Injury Analysis and Data teams.

In this role you will support the collection and management of data and undertake statistical analysis of injury surveillance data as well as safety data sources including licensing, infringement and crash data. As our data analyst you may also be involved in associated injury research projects undertaken for a range of external clients.

At MUARC, you’ll be collaborating with multidisciplinary academics across the Centre, including behavioural scientists, engineers, human factors experts and statisticians, as well as with external organisations and government departments. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will enable the effective communication of data preparation and analytical results to senior centre staff and external stakeholders.

As the successful candidate you will have a tertiary qualification with a strong analytical component (e.g. statistics, econometrics, psychology) and a demonstrated capacity to work independently and proactively. You should have strong attention to detail, strong quantitative and analytical skills including demonstrated experience in high level statistical analysis, and skills in the assembly and management of databases including liaising with external data custodians.

If this sounds like you and something you would be interested in, we look forward to reviewing your application.
