The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Analyst with strong marketing and advertising performance capability to join our team. The Senior Marketing Analyst provides advanced analysis and decision support to improve the effectiveness of Monash’s marketing investment, audience acquisition and recruitment conversion.
Your role is to bring together advertising, digital, CRM and student lifecycle data to understand performance across the marketing and recruitment funnel, from media investment and lead generation through to application, offer and enrolment.
You will act as a Senior analytical advisor to Marketing teams, identifying performance drivers, diagnosing conversion issues, evaluating campaign, content and channel effectiveness and translating complex data into clear recommendations for action.
The role develops measurement frameworks, reporting and analytical approaches that improve marketing effectiveness, budget allocation and evidence-based decision-making.
If you’re someone who thrives on understanding what is working, what is not, why it is happening and what Marketing should do differently, we want to hear from you.
Your Day to Day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-
Leading analysis of marketing investment, advertising performance and recruitment outcomes across various channels
-
Identify performance drivers, conversion bottlenecks, audience behaviours and opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness
-
Develop and maintain dashboards, analytical models and reporting that support campaign optimisation, investment decisions and executive decision-making.
-
Evaluate marketing effectiveness using appropriate measures including cost per lead, cost per application, cost per enrolment, conversion rates and other return or efficiency measures.
-
Develop and apply attribution, experimentation, incrementality and campaign measurement approaches appropriate to the available data and decision context
To be successful in the role, you will need to possess the following:
-
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Power BI and digital analytics tools such as GA4
-
Demonstrated experience analysing customer, acquisition, sales or recruitment funnels and identifying drivers of conversion and drop-off.
-
Strong understanding of marketing measurement, attribution, experimentation and campaign effectiveness.
-
Experience working with media spend, CRM, digital and customer lifecycle data to evaluate marketing performance.
-
Strong statistical and analytical capability, including techniques such as regression, segmentation, forecasting and hypothesis testing
-
Experience developing dashboards and analytical products that support decision-making rather than reporting alone.
-
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations and actions
