The Opportunity

The Senior Project Officer – MIRRA Training Program leads the operational delivery of MIRRA’s nationally funded antisemitism and cultural awareness training program across the higher education sector. The role is responsible for end-to-end program planning, coordination and delivery, ensuring training is implemented to agreed quality standards and contractual requirements. Acting as a key liaison between the MIRRA project team, participating institutions, government stakeholders and other partners, the Senior Project Officer provides expert advice, oversees program documentation and quality assurance frameworks, and ensures timely, high-quality delivery of all project objectives.

Working across a complex stakeholder environment, the role coordinates training schedules, supports the ongoing development of modules and train-the-trainer initiatives, monitors performance and risk, and leads evaluation and continuous improvement processes. The Senior Project Officer prepares reports, briefings and acquittals, manages reporting obligations in line with funding agreements, supervises project team members and trainers where required, and builds strong relationships with universities, government departments, sector bodies and community organisations to sustain program impact and success.

As the successful candidate, you will bring high-level project management experience with a proven ability to coordinate complex training programs or projects to completion within agreed standards, timeframes and budgets. You will have strong planning and organisational skills, experience supervising and motivating a small team, and the ability to build productive relationships with universities, government departments and community organisations. With advanced research, analytical and problem-solving capability, you will exercise sound judgement in addressing complex issues, communicate with clarity and professionalism, and produce high-quality documentation and presentations. You will also demonstrate advanced digital proficiency, an understanding of the higher education sector, and cultural sensitivity and awareness, particularly in relation to issues affecting Jewish communities and addressing antisemitism within institutional contexts.
