The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate educator to join the Monash University School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine as a Senior Lecturer (Education-focused) in public health.
This role is ideal for an academic who is driven by teaching excellence, curriculum innovation, and educational leadership, and who is committed to shaping the future public health workforce.
As part of the Teaching and Learning team, you will play a key role in the design, delivery and continuous improvement of undergraduate and postgraduate education, contributing to a dynamic and high-performing academic environment.
You will:
- Lead and coordinate courses and units across undergraduate and postgraduate programs
- Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based learning experiences across multiple modes
- Drive curriculum innovation and continuous improvement in teaching practice
- Contribute to education leadership across areas such as student experience, international education and professional programs
- Mentor and support academic staff to build teaching capability
- Engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning, including publications and funded projects
This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence education at scale and contribute to strategic initiatives across the School and Faculty.
About You
You are an accomplished educator with a strong track record of teaching excellence and a genuine passion for student learning and outcomes.
You will bring:
- A doctoral qualification (or equivalent) in public health or a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching, including curriculum design and innovation
- Experience in course and/or unit leadership within a tertiary environment
- A strong record of educational scholarship, including publications or teaching resources
- Proven ability to lead and influence within academic environments
- Experience mentoring students and supporting the development of colleagues
You will be collaborative, forward-thinking, and motivated to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and educational excellence.
