The Opportunity

Join Eastern Health Clinical School as a Research Officer (Biostatistician) and support a dynamic research environment advancing high-quality health research. The role provides statistical guidance to academic staff and students, assists with data analysis and supports the preparation of research reports and publications. Working with experienced biostatisticians, it ensures accurate and timely analytical services that contribute to the School’s research objectives.

This position involves a variety of research activities including developing statistical analysis plans, conducting sample size calculations, and providing advice on data interpretation as well as the preparation of research projects, funding applications, and protocols, ensuring all work is conducted in line with established methodologies, policies, and regulatory requirements. 

We are seeking someone with a tertiary qualification in biostatistics, epidemiology or a related field, along with strong analytical and data management skills. Organisational ability, project administration expertise and the capacity to meet deadlines are highly valued.
