The Opportunity
Are you passionate about cutting-edge research in biomedical engineering and sensor technology? We are seeking a Research Officer to provide high-quality research services supporting the Electrochemical Biosensor Platform project. This role plays a critical part in delivering outcomes for the Australia Economic Accelerator (AEA) Ignite Program through innovative sensor testing, integration, and prototype development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrochemical sensor testing, integration, and prototype development
- Process sensor signals and convert readings into protein levels
- Design PCB boards and integrate microcontrollers (Arduino, PID converters, monitors)
- Prepare research reports, data analyses, and documentation for stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with research protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with research teams, partners, and stakeholders to achieve project goals
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Expertise in PCB board design, sensor integration, microcontrollers, and signal processing
- Knowledge of field-effect transistors, protein detection, and biosensor technologies
- Strong analytical and technical research skills
- Proven ability to manage research projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
