The Opportunity

Are you a skilled Project Manager with a passion for delivering impactful projects? Do you excel in coordinating complex initiatives and building strong relationships with stakeholders? If so, we want you to join our team at ARDC!

As a Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the end-to-end delivery of ARDC projects, focusing on the Services Business Unit. You'll be the key liaison between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely and successful project outcomes. Your expertise will help ARDC achieve its strategic goals through best practices and contemporary approaches.

What you’ll do:

  • Project Coordination: Scope and plan project deliverables, monitor budgets and timelines, and manage project meetings.
  • Project Management: Provide high-level administration, advice, and recommendations to ensure project success.
  • Budget Support: Assist with budget management, contribute to proposals, project plans and develop comprehensive reports.
  • Task Oversight: Plan and oversee project tasks, ensuring they meet agreed standards and timeframes.
  • Stakeholder Guidance: Provide guidance to project team members and liaise with internal and external stakeholders for excellence in delivery.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research, analyse results, and provide innovative solutions to complex project issues.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project execution.

What you’ll bring:

  • Education/Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience, PRINCE2 Practitioner or PRINCE2 Agile qualifications.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven record of managing medium to large scale projects successfully.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong planning and organisational abilities to meet deadlines and allocate resources effectively.
  • Relationship Management: Excellent skills in interacting, influencing, and negotiating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including professional documentation and presentations.
  • Initiative and Judgment: Ability to handle situations requiring independent judgment and sensitivity.
  • Best Practices Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of PMBOK, PRINCE2, and Agile principles.
  • Experience: Experience working with distributed teams and in the higher education or research sector, with an understanding of research infrastructure.
