The Opportunity
We are seeking a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations for a three-year appointment, commencing in mid July 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and academic administration in a dynamic and diverse role. You will play a key part in shaping the student experience while engaging in research that advances the field. Additionally, you will actively participate in departmental, school, and faculty meetings, as well as committee initiatives, supporting the University's academic and strategic goals.
The successful candidate will hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline and a strong record of teaching experience in a tertiary environment. Applicants with expertise in politics and/or international relations are encouraged. You will possess strong interpersonal skills, and work well both independently and collaboratively. A proven record of refereed research publications, curriculum development, and student engagement is essential. You will contribute to scholarly research and be a collaborative team member, fostering a positive academic environment.

The School of Social Sciences is consistently ranked among the best social science schools both nationally and internationally.
