The Opportunity
The Senior Research Fellow (Sepsis Program) position is a key component of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC), focused on enhancing the centre's research capacity in clinical trial methodology, project design and data analysis. This role is central to managing research projects from inception to publication, ensuring that findings are effectively communicated through grant proposals, manuscripts and presentations, supporting the ANZIC-RC’s mission to elevate its standing in both national and international research communities through high-impact contributions.
This position will contribute to the goals of the Sepsis Program by facilitating the development of a Critical Care Research Platform aimed at improving outcomes for sepsis patients in intensive care units. The platform seeks to enhance existing registry infrastructures, improve the execution of pragmatic clinical trials and strengthen partnerships with key consumer, academic and healthcare organizations. The role is also pivotal in translating research findings into actionable clinical guidelines and policy changes, thereby driving improvements in healthcare delivery.
We are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, with substantial research experience in infectious disease, sepsis or acute care settings. This position also demands a demonstrated record of research outputs, grant successes, and familiarity with large datasets or public health initiatives.
Be at the forefront of critical care research, working collaboratively to shape the future of sepsis care. Potential applicants are invited to bring their expertise to a dynamic environment where their contributions can make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
