The Opportunity

The position is a 1.5-year industry funded position working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support structure assisted GPCR drug discovery programs.

As the successful candidate you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing novel molecules and drug candidates for a GPCR drug discovery program. You will develop and implement cutting-edge computational approaches to accelerate the identification and optimization of novel drug candidates, including molecular dynamics, protein modelling, virtual screening, molecular docking, and structure-activity relationship analysis. Candidates should embrace opportunities to tackle new problems and challenges as part of a dynamic team that includes biologists, chemists, and structural biologists to design and execute computational drug discovery projects.

Applicants will need to hold a PhD in an appropriate discipline (ie Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, bioinformatics) and have extensive experience with a focus in computational drug discovery. Prior experience working with GPCRs would be desirable. You will be able to work both independently and seamlessly within a larger team environment, including application of highly developed technical skills, and rapid ability to learn new techniques.
