About the role:
Aurizon is seeking a Transformation Specialist to partner with regional leaders and support strategic initiatives that drive transformation, continuous improvement and sustainable business outcomes. Reporting to the Business Performance Leader, you will work alongside a team of transformation specialists to ensure improvement projects are effectively delivered, embedded and aligned to operational priorities.
In this role, you will be accountable for:
- Leading with the identification, prioritisation and implementation of improvement activities.
- Lead the analysis of project and operational requirements, investigate innovative solutions and provide guidance to managers and employees.
- Lead and coordinate the review and reporting of initiative progress to senior management and/or stakeholders and ensure ongoing alignment with strategic objectives.
- Drive effective working relationships with customers, internal and external clients at a middle management level to ensure improvement initiatives are in keeping with wider business objectives
- Drive collaboration across functions and regions to ensure consistent application of improvement activities across the enterprise and standardise
About you:
You are a confident and collaborative influencer who can build trusted relationships, support change and bring people along the transformation journey. You are comfortable working across diverse stakeholder groups and operational environments, using strong communication and problem-solving skills to help deliver meaningful improvement.
- You have experience with identifying and managing risks to mitigate impact to program delivery.
- You are values driven and results focused, with the ability to coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
- High Level of interpersonal skills to communicate cross functionally.
- Effective business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical capability.
- Ideally you will have applied process improvement methodologies.
- Ideally have knowledge in the rail industry, either operational or maintenance.
- Project management experience including PM qualifications would be well regarded
