About the role

Aurizon is seeking a Training Advisor to join our Learning & Development Transformation team on a 2-year fixed-term basis.

This role would suit someone who is confident operating at Advisor level and enjoys working with systems, processes, compliance, training governance and stakeholder engagement to support enterprise training outcomes. You may already have experience in learning and development, training coordination, compliance, HR or a related field, and be looking for an opportunity to apply your capability in a large, complex and safety-focused organisation.

Reporting to the Lead L&D Transformation, you’ll help support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Aurizon’s Training Governance Framework and associated learning systems. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to assist with training compliance, governance activities, continuous improvement initiatives and learning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of learning and development systems, frameworks and governance processes.
  • Assist with the delivery and administration of technical and safety training programs.
  • Contribute to training planning, forecasting and compliance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with enterprise training standards and external training requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About you

We’re interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • Experience in learning and development, training coordination, training compliance, HR, administration or a related field.
  • Confidence working with training systems, compliance processes, governance frameworks or learning-related data.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively while managing competing priorities.
  • An interest in training governance, adult learning principles and compliance frameworks.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or similar, will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Why join Aurizon?

This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives while gaining exposure to training governance, systems, compliance and continuous improvement activities. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on improving learning outcomes and supporting a safe, capable workforce.
