Aurizon is seeking a commercially astute Manager Strategy to lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that drive performance and long-term growth.
This is a key leadership role within the Strategy function, working closely with senior executives to translate business insights into clear, actionable plans and deliver measurable outcomes.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end strategy development and execution aligned to enterprise priorities
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and maximise commercial outcomes
- Translate insights into practical, actionable initiatives and oversee delivery
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Lead and develop a high-performing strategy team
- Drive continuous improvement in strategy frameworks, planning and governance
About you
You are a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset, who thrives in a complex environment and can move seamlessly between big-picture thinking and hands-on delivery.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in strategy, transformation, or commercial roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex initiatives
- Executive-level communication and influencing skills
- Experience leading and developing teams
- A relevant tertiary qualification
