At Aurizon, we’re committed to delivering safe, reliable and efficient freight solutions across Australia. We’re looking for a Contracts Management Specialist to join our team in Adelaide, playing a key role in managing contractor performance across our supply chain operations.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders, drive commercial outcomes, and ensure safety and compliance are at the forefront of operations.
About the role
Reporting to the Terminal Operations Manager, you will:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, service providers and internal teams
- Champion a safety-first culture through active onsite engagement and leadership
- Monitor contractor performance against KPIs, service levels and contractual obligations
- Manage contract scope, cost, and variations to ensure commercial outcomes are achieved
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, site and company requirements
- Support effective contract reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive sustainable, long-term contract performance
- Contribute to the development and improvement of contracts across the business
About you
You will bring:
- Experience in contract management, logistics or supply chain environments
- Strong safety focus with the ability to influence and drive safe behaviours
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage cost, performance and risk
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and drive outcomes
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence
Experience in logistics operations (including transport, ISO/container management or similar) will be highly regarded.
