About the role: As the Works Planner you will assist with the planning, pricing and monitoring of railway infrastructure construction projects. Support the development of construction methodologies in collaboration with the project team to plan resources, estimate costs and prepare preliminary and detailed pricing submissions

  • Support risk analysis during the planning phase, identifying impacts to pricing, commercial conditions, safety, environment and quality.
  • Liaise with relevant parties to arrange and book track possessions and isolations to support project activities.
  • Assist with resource planning and programming to balance workload while meeting client and project requirements.
  • Support inspections across planning, implementation, monitoring and completion stages.
  • Apply relevant Australian Standards and internal requirements when developing scopes, methodologies and pricing

About you: You work collaboratively with others and communicate clearly to support well considered decisions. You adapt confidently to changing priorities while continuously improving work processes to achieve practical and efficient outcomes

  • Working knowledge of rail infrastructure construction and maintenance, including safety standards and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of estimating, planning, monitoring and forecasting project and operational budgets.
  • Well-developed computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet or database applications.
