About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Day Roster Officer to join our Bulk West Team based in Welshpool. This role is offered on a full-time permanent arrangement. As a Day Roster Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining effective rosters, crew deployment, and operational systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources for scheduled services based on operational requirements.
- Service Plan Management: Assist with managing changes to service plans, asset loading, and resource allocations. Address customer requirements and impacts of major disruptions.
- Roster Management: Ensure safety-compliant crew rosters are accurate, entered into systems, and maintained to meet operational needs.
- Crew Deployment: Place competent operational employees on rosters and monitor their deployment to meet operational demands.
- Fatigue Management: Monitor fatigue management in line with rostering principles.
- Customer Service Support: Aid the deployment team by handling phone calls and administrative tasks to provide excellent customer service.
- Train List Information: Provide accurate and timely train list information to customers.
About You:
- System Proficiency: Ability to effectively use roster, crew allocation, train running, and fatigue management systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver results.
- Problem-Solving: Capability to identify operational issues and collaborate on solutions.
- Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills and excellent time management.
- Industrial Instruments: Experience with interpreting relevant Industrial Instruments such as Enterprise Agreements.
- Communication: High-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with employees and customers.
