About the role: Lead Aurizon’s enterprise-wide ERP transformation — one of our most significant business programs. You’ll drive complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives to deliver outcomes on scope, schedule, cost and quality, while setting the rhythm for delivery across streams, uplifting ways of working, and keeping senior leaders aligned through clear reporting and governance. This is a critical, highly visible role that blends strategic program leadership, stakeholder influence, and hands-on delivery oversight to ensure the program delivers value for Aurizon.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end program and project management across a portfolio of ERP workstreams, ensuring the right structure, resourcing and controls are in place.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of project managers, architects and specialists, fostering capability and accountability.
- Build and maintain integrated plans (milestones, dependencies, risks, change control) and provide clear, regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal and external delivery partners; manage commercial arrangements and performance.
- Engage, negotiate and influence across the enterprise—translating strategy into executable roadmaps and preparing concise briefs and presentations for executives.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Significant experience delivering large, complex programs—ideally 15+ years across planning and delivery, with 5+ years in a Program/Project Management leadership role.
- Deep project management toolkit across scope, schedule, financials, risk and benefits, with demonstrated success in multi-disciplinary environments.
- Proven leadership of professional teams, with strong stakeholder, communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Commercially astute, customer-focused and comfortable operating in fast-changing, ambiguous contexts. Relevant industry certifications in project/program management are valued.
Applications Close 8th October
