About the role:
The Maintenance Planner – Rail Rollingstock will be responsible for developing and managing safe, compliant, and efficient planning and scheduling processes to achieve business objectives and optimise performance. This includes creating detailed maintenance plans for rollingstock, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and optimising processes to minimize downtime and maximize resource utilisation.
Clear communication with stakeholders, such as maintenance teams and management, is key, along with continuously identifying and implementing improvements to enhance maintenance processes and reduce cost.
Key accountabilities include:
- Lead and promote a safety culture, ensuring safe practices across all operations.
- Develop short- to medium-term maintenance plans that comply with safety and system requirements while supporting efficient maintenance.
- Ensure division-owned plans are scheduled and completed on time, meeting system requirements.
- Convert the maintenance schedule into a detailed inventory demand plan.
- Work with teams to implement rules, processes, and systems that support planned maintenance.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Communicate daily with teams and repair providers to ensure everyone follows a single maintenance plan.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure long-term maintenance plans align with fleet goals, including capacity needs.
- Ensure consistent adherence to maintenance standards and processes
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Maintenance Systems and SAP is mandatory.
- Must hold an open 'C' Class Driver's License
