About the Role

Aurizon’s presence in South Australia is expanding, and we’re looking for Reach Stacker Operators (Terminal Operators) to join our team. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on safely and efficiently operating reach stackers, while also contributing to terminal coordination, freight documentation, and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate reach stackers, forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts for freight and container movements
• Assist with planning and scheduling of terminal services, including basic marshalling tasks
• Conduct inspections of equipment and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant
• Manage gate processes for incoming and outgoing vehicles, and update the Transport Management System
• Induct customers and contractors in line with site safety protocols
• Work collaboratively with the team to support safe, efficient, and continuously improving operations

About You

• Valid Reach Stacker and Forklift licences are highly regarded (training may be provided if needed)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• High attention to detail, especially in safety and compliance practices
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to operational needs
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as part of a rotational roster, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required by operational demands
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check, reference checks, and a medical assessment
• FIFO or DIDO arrangements from Adelaide, Whyalla, or Port Augusta may be considered, subject to operational requirements
