About the role:

Aurizon is currently looking for qualified Mechanical & Electrical Tradespersons (Locomotive Maintainers) to join our team in Coppabella. Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike.

This position offers a 7/7 day-shift-only roster.

These roles are based in Coppabella. 

Location Details:

• Option to live residentially if you reside around the Coppabella locality.
• DIDO from Sarina, with camp accommodation and meals provided while on swing.

You will be responsible for:

• Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
• Supervising, mentoring, and assisting the development of apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.
• Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
• Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service.

About you:

• Must hold a Mechanical Trade or Electrical Trade Certificate.
• A strong commitment to safety and the “I Know Safe, I choose Safe” principal.
• Heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
• Mobile Plant equipment experience (preferred).
• High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
• Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
• Sound computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
