Aurizon is seeking a dynamic Finance Partner to join our Network Finance Team and play a key role in shaping our financial strategy. You'll partner with operations to enhance financial awareness, boost cost efficiency, and drive continuous improvement that directly impacts our bottom line. This is your chance to make a tangible difference while collaborating with leaders across the business to support and influence critical strategic, operational, and commercial decisions:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships to effectively partner with relevant parts of the business to deliver the necessary support and advice to enable the relevant business area to make well informed operational, strategic and investment decisions
  • Develop and maintain strong customer, supplier and stakeholder relationships which support achievement of business objectives.
  • Manage the provision of financial and commercial analysis to provide advice and recommendations to the relevant area to enable them to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Manage the provision of reporting, budgets, forecasting, monthly accounting
  • Provide strategic financial planning for capital funding and commercial input for developing revenue streams and projects. Develop financial models and support strategic projects.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of the quality of management information and finance service provided to the relevant business areas.

  About you: 

  • Tertiary qualified in a finance related discipline
  • CPA, CA or ACMA qualifications preferred
  • High level of skills in financial management including business and financial models and planning, monitoring budgets, pricing modelling, contract development and analysis and risk identification/allocation pricing.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial, economic and operational models and the impacting financial business practices and principles.
  • High level of skill in the development, analysis and presentation of management reports, customer proposals, business cases and submissions.
