As Aurizon Bulk continues to thrive and grow in 2024, we are seeking a Day Roster Officer to join our Bulk West Team in Welshpool.

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that rosters, crew deployment and operational systems are effectively maintained to ensure safety, compliance, communication, customer service and delivery.

Responsibilities of the Day Roster Officer position include but not limited to:

  • Allocate resources for scheduled services in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Perform of tasks and assist with managing changes to service plans, asset loading, resource allocations, customer requirements, and impact of major disruption.
  • Ensure that safety compliant crew rosters are checked for accuracy, entered into the required systems and maintained to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure competent operational employees with the appropriate operational knowledge are placed on the roster.
  • Monitor and arrange for deployment of crews to meet operational demands at locations as required.
  • Monitor fatigue management in line with rostering and fatigue management principles.
  • Support the deployment team to provide excellent customer service by assisting other team members with phone calls and other administrative tasks.
  • Provide accurate and timely train list information to customers.

About you:

  • Ability to effectively use roster, crew allocation, train running and fatigue management systems
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver results
  • Ability to identify operational issues and problem-solve in collaboration with your team
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience with interpreting relevant Industrial Instruments such as Enterprise Agreements
  • High level communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to relate to employees and customers to enable best outcome possible.
