What does the job look like?
Join the Linfox Retail team as a Shift Manager based in Arndell Park, NSW, supporting a key NSW retail transport operation. This 6-month opportunity will see you lead day-to-day transport activities, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant outcomes across the site. You'll work closely with operational teams to manage resources, coordinate workflow and drive service performance in a fast-paced environment. Working Monday to Friday, you'll play a key role in delivering operational excellence across a critical retail operation.
Key areas:
- Lead the day-to-day operation, ensuring service, safety and operational performance targets are achieved.
- Coordinate labour, fleet and resource planning to support efficient operations and customer outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with drivers, subcontractors, customers and internal stakeholders, proactively managing issues and escalations.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, safety requirements and company policies.
- Drive a high-performance culture through coaching, communication, safety leadership and accountability.
Are you the one?
We're looking for an operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently balance safety, customer service and operational performance. You can demonstrate:
- Experience leading transport, logistics or operational teams in a dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of transport operations, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to coordinate labour, fleet and operational resources to achieve service outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational and decision-making skills, with a focus on safety, customer service and continuous improvement.
