What does the job look like?
Linfox is seeking an experienced transport professional to support driver training, assessment and compliance activities at our Parkinson site. Working closely with drivers and operational leaders, you will play a key role in ensuring drivers are trained, competent and operating safely in line with legislative and operational requirements. Combining on-road assessments, coaching and formal training delivery, you will help maintain high standards of safety, compliance and driver capability. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can build credibility with drivers and positively influence performance outcomes.
- Conduct driver assessments, competency evaluations and licence verification activities.
- Deliver driver inductions, practical training and ongoing capability development programs.
- Provide coaching and feedback to improve driver safety, compliance and performance outcomes.
- Maintain accurate training, assessment and compliance records.
- Build strong working relationships with drivers and operational leaders to support a positive safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, Linfox policies and Operational Training procedures.
Are you the one?
You will succeed in this role if you are an experienced operator who is passionate about developing others, committed to safety and confident delivering training across a variety of environments and equipment types.
- Current MC licence and demonstrated experience within heavy vehicle transport operations
- Demonstrated transport operations experience, ideally within FMCG, retail or cold-chain environments
- Experience assessing driver capability and providing practical coaching and feedback
- Ability to build credibility and strong working relationships with drivers and operational leaders
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance and developing driver capability
- Strong computer literacy, including Outlook, Word and maintaining accurate training records
