What does the job look like?

We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our high-performance team based in Mentone VIC. Reporting to the Route Manager, you will lead day shift operations, driving team performance, safety and service delivery while ensuring efficient, cost-effective outcomes for our customers. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 5am to 1pm.

Key areas: 

• Monitor transport KPIs and implement improvement plans to drive operational performance and service outcomes.
• Lead daily transport operations, ensuring resources, driver schedules and customer service requirements are met.
• Oversee fleet availability, maintenance schedules, vehicle configurations and transport asset management.
• Allocating drivers to the routes.
• Manage the morning load-out to ensure accurate, on-time dispatch of all routes.
• Monitoring/Supporting drivers on the road.
• Build strong customer relationships, proactively resolving issues and supporting service excellence.
• Actively engage with on-site personnel at the forefront to ensure their motivation, training, and competence in task execution.
• Manage on-site occupational health and safety policies and procedures, including injury management and reporting.

You will have: 

• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR regulations, fatigue management and safety requirements.
• Optimise fleet utilisation, payloads, routes and schedules to maximise efficiency and commercial returns.
• Sound computer literacy with the ability to use WMS and Microsoft office applications including advanced excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the business.
