What does the job look like?
We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Somerton. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of services. You will play a pivotal role in leading teams, building capability, strengthening customer partnerships, and driving initiatives that enhance operational performance and business outcomes. Key areas:
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations to achieve safety, service and cost
- Manage team performance, productivity and KPI delivery
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, customers and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer outcomes
- Ensure safety incidents are appropriately reported, investigated and addressed
- Lead operational planning, resource management and daily site execution
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture aligned with Linfox value
Are you the one?
You have leadership experience within a warehouse environment and are looking to further develop your career in operations management. You lead by example, build strong teams, and have a track record of delivering results while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service and continuous improvement. You can demonstrate:
- People leadership experience within a warehouse environment
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with both customers and internal teams
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- The resilience and agility to perform in a dynamic operational environment
