What does the job look like?

Reporting to the State Transport Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a transport contract, ensuring safety, compliance, customer service and operational performance outcomes are achieved. This role provides leadership to operational teams while driving continuous improvement, financial performance and customer satisfaction. This will be a permanent role based in Erskine Park.  Key areas:

  • Lead site operations to deliver safe, compliant and efficient transport outcomes.
  • Manage site risks, hazard controls and incident reporting in line with company, client and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational performance and profitability.
  • Build strong customer relationships and address operational requirements and service expectations.
  • Support workforce capability, performance, compliance and industrial relations activities.
  • Track key performance indicators and contribute to operational, customer and financial reporting.

Are you the one?

You are an experienced transport, logistics or supply chain leader with a proven ability to lead frontline teams, drive operational performance and maintain strong safety and compliance standards. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer outcomes. You can demonstrate:

  • Experience leading transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
  • Direct staff supervision and operational leadership experience.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and service delivery outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, commercial drivers and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience reporting operational performance to senior leaders and customers.
  • Exposure to workplace compliance, industrial relations and performance management processes.
