What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is on a growth journey, and we're looking for a Customer Engagement Manager to join our team in West Melbourne, VIC. Acting as the link between our commercial and operational teams, you'll assess customer requirements, analyse data, develop tailored logistics solutions and lead strategic growth initiatives from opportunity identification through to successful implementation. You'll play a key role in securing new business, strengthening customer partnerships and ensuring new opportunities are seamlessly embedded into the Linfox Intermodal network. Key areas: 
  • Lead end-to-end tender and bid processes, delivering solutions from customer opportunity assessment through to implementation
  • Analyse customer and operational data to identify opportunities, develop solutions and support business growth initiatives
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations that clearly articulate Linfox's value proposition and operational capabilities
  • Support and review commercial modelling to ensure customer solutions align with business objectives and financial outcomes
  • Collaborate across Commercial, Operations, Safety and Legal teams to deliver seamless customer proposals and implementations
  • Support new customer implementations, ensuring a seamless transition from solution design to operational delivery

Are you the one? 

You are a commercially minded logistics professional with a strong analytical capability and a proven track record delivering successful tender and bid outcomes within a complex logistics environment. You thrive in cross-functional environments and can translate data into operational solutions that support customer growth. You can demonstrate:
  • 5+ years of experience across Business Development or Commercial roles within logistics, transport or supply chain
  • Proven success leading end-to-end tender and bid processes, from opportunity assessment through to implementation
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting data and developing customer-focused operational solutions
  • Experience supporting, reviewing or contributing to commercial models and translating insights into commercially viable proposals
  • Confidence presenting solutions and proposals to customers and senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of cost-to-serve, operational requirements and the financial drivers of customer solutions
