What does the job look like?

The Linfox Operational Training team is seeking a passionate and motivated Operations Trainer to join our NSW team. Reporting to the Training Partner, you will play a critical role in building workforce capability by delivering high-quality training, assessments, and mentoring across our operations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging inductions, training, and competency assessments to employees, contractors, and agency staff.
  • Facilitating practical, on-the-job and classroom-based training across a variety of equipment (including heavy vehicles, forklifts, and MHE).
  • Conducting on-road driver assessments and supporting license and compliance requirements.
  • Implementing training solutions aligned to operational and customer needs.
  • Mentoring and supporting Business Unit Trainers, fostering capability and consistency across sites.
  • Ensuring all training records, assessments, and compliance documentation are accurate and maintained.
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of training materials, processes, and methodologies.
  • Promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring all training meets regulatory, CoR, and Linfox standards.
  • Travelling to metro and regional sites to deliver training and support operational needs.

Are you the one?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced trainer, or an operational professional looking to step into training, who is passionate about developing people and driving safety outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or working towards).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering site-based training (e.g. inductions, SWPs, driver assessments).
  • MC Licence (Road Train highly regarded).
  • Forklift Licence (LF).
  • HRW Accredited Assessor (desirable).
  • Proven ability to deliver training in a high-risk or operational environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on compliance and accurate record keeping.
  • Flexibility to travel and work across varying hours and locations.
