What does the job look like?

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in the Group Finance function, leading statutory reporting, group consolidation, fixed assets and lease accounting, and key audit processes across ANZ Logistics, Armaguard and Asia. This role offers a genuine pathway to step into Finance management and team leadership.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead statutory reporting for major entities and oversee complex group consolidation.
  • Manage end‑to‑end interim and year‑end audit processes as primary contact for our audit partners.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers, journals and board‑level reports.
  • Oversee fixed assets and lease accounting, including systems troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Contribute to SAP S/4HANA transformation including data migration, testing and process redesign.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders including BU Finance, Tax, Treasury and FP&A.
  • Provide mentorship and ongoing development of junior staff members.
  • Implement and oversee adoption of new accounting standards.

Are you the one?

You are a technically strong and ambitious finance professional who thrives in a complex, fast‑paced environment and is ready to advance toward a future leadership role. You bring strong consolidation experience and a deep understanding of statutory reporting requirements.

You can demonstrate:

  • CA / CPA qualification (or progressing towards) with a degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience in Big 4 or mid‑tier audit, or as a Senior Financial Accountant with strong statutory exposure.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS / AASB and large‑scale group consolidations.
  • Experience leading or supporting audits and preparing statutory financial statements.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse finance stakeholders across multiple regions.
  • Leadership capability, with the ambition to grow and develop team members.
