What does the job look like?

This is a front-line operations role where energy, decisiveness and teamwork matter. As a Fleet Allocator, you’ll be in the thick of daily transport operations, coordinating vehicles, working side‑by‑side with drivers and keeping freight moving safely in a fast‑paced, time‑critical environment.

This opportunity is working Monday to Friday from 8am - 4pm at our Acacia Ridge site, with required ad-hoc flexibility to work across AM, afternoon and night shifts during peak periods or when covering scheduled team leave.

Key areas: 

  • Drive daily fleet coordination to deliver safe, compliant and on‑time pickup and delivery outcomes
  • Stay connected with drivers throughout the shift to keep operations running smoothly
  • Coordinate end‑to‑end freight updates, including recoveries for delays, rejections and potential service changes
  • Deliver proactive communication to customers, sites and management regarding service impacts
  • Maintain safety and compliance processes, including incident reporting, investigations, toolbox talks and safety KPIs
  • Support branch operations and compliance requirements, including contractor coordination

Are you the one?

You’re someone who enjoys being at the centre of operations, supporting customers and drivers while keeping safety, service and compliance front of mind. You can demonstrate:
  • Prior experience in operational, driver or customer service-related roles within the Transport/Logistics industry  
  • Working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and heavy vehicle compliance
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to manage competing operational priorities
  • Experience using transport systems such as SAP and MT Data
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • A strong commitment to safety and Linfox’s Vision Zero culture
