What does the job look like?

Based at our Oakdale site in Kemps Creek, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our national linehaul team. With a fleet that includes company-owned B-doubles and A-doubles, and a strong subcontractor network, your focus will be on fleet efficiency, compliance, and delivering best-in-class customer service. You’ll play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives and help shape the future of our high-performing operation. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily transport operations and systems to deliver seamless service to multiple customers.
• Optimise fleet utilisation to maximise payloads and achieve financial targets.
• Ensure NHVR and COR compliance for both company drivers and subcontractors.
• Lead and coach a team of direct reports and support the broader national linehaul function.
• Drive continuous improvement (CI) projects focused on operational efficiency, safety and service delivery.

 

Are you the one?

We are looking for a strong people leader with demonstrated experience in linehaul transport. You’re organised, operationally savvy and safety focused, with the ability to influence at all levels. You’ll bring:

• In-depth understanding of NHVR compliance requirements and Chain of Responsibility (COR).
• Experience in logistics, preferably in FMCG or retail.
• Demonstrated success leading teams and managing subcontractors.
• Experience managing multiple customer accounts and competing priorities.
• Commercial acumen, with the ability to understand budgets, financial outcomes and operational efficiencies.
• Experience in infrastructure and/or equipment management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
