About the role
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Services Leading Hand with a Carpentry Trade background to join our Lake Vermont team. This leadership position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience and a strong ability to manage small crews, ensuring the timely and safe delivery of site maintenance and service tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of the site services team
- Carry out and supervise carpentry-related maintenance and construction work
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with site procedures
- Liaise with stakeholders to prioritise work and allocate resources effectively
- Maintain accurate records and update job progress in JDE or similar systems
- Promote and enforce safety-first culture among the crew
About you
- Trade qualified carpenter (must hold a Carpentry Trade Certificate)
- Proven supervisory or leading hand experience in a similar role
- Current G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3) qualifications
- Experience using JDE or other maintenance management systems (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
