The Project

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
  • Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
  • RAAF Base Wagga

 

The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:

  • Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
  • Construction of new training facilities
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services

Your opportunity

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national infrastructure. You will ensure constant, up-to-date reporting of the project program status and provide planning and project controls expertise and advice to the project.  Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and update project programs for both the Planning and Delivery Phases, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project progress
  • Collaborate with Project and Construction Managers to integrate construction methodologies and sequences into the program
  • Prepare and maintain basis of schedule documentation, including 4D modelling and build sequence diagrams
  • Identify and mitigate program risks and constraints, and support tender program development through detailed planning analysis

 

To be successful in this role you must have:

 

  • Experience on complex, high-value construction or infrastructure projects
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Construction Management, or similar)
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6
  • Understanding of or exposure to 4D planning and Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities
