The Opportunity
Thiess are seeking experienced Light Vehicle Maintenance Supervisors to lead and coordinate light vehicle maintenance operations on at our Gruyere Operations on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
The Gruyere Gold Project is located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200km east of Laverton in Western Australia.
About The Role
This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost effective upkeep of the site’s light vehicle fleet while leading a team of trades personnel and contractors.
Additionally, you will:
- Supervise and lead the light vehicle maintenance team, including fitters and contractors
- Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with site HSE, quality and statutory requirements
- Manage fleet availability, reliability and maintenance costs
- Monitor and maintain maintenance records, inspections and reporting systems
- Provide technical support and coaching to the team
- Liaise with operations, logistics and external suppliers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualified (Light Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent) qualification
- Previous supervisory experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of light vehicle maintenance practices and scheduling
- Proven commitment to safety leadership and compliance
- Well developed communication, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to lead teams in a remote site environment
- Statutory Declaration Training Supervisor Schedule 26.
- Current drivers' licence. (HR Desirable)
