Thiess is seeking Truck, Multi-Skilled & Excavator Operators to join our team at Pembroke Resources’ Olive Downs Complex, located approximately 40 kilometres south‑east of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.

Thiess was awarded a 5‑year contract with Pembroke Resources to deliver full‑service mining operations at the Olive Downs Complex. This includes mine planning, drill and blast, load and haul, water management, rehabilitation, and the construction of mine infrastructure. The contract provides strong job security, stability, and ongoing career development opportunities as the project continues to grow.

We are offering permanent roles on an even‑time 7/7 day/night rotating roster (12‑hour shifts) for operators seeking FIFO, BIBO or DIDO opportunities.

As part of the Thiess team at Olive Downs, you’ll play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and productive mining operations by:

• Operating heavy mining equipment safely and efficiently to maximise productivity
• Adhering to Thiess’ safety standards, systems, and operational procedures
• Contributing to a strong safety-first and performance-focused culture

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Minimum 12 months’ experience operating production mining equipment (Rear Dump Truck, Dozer, Grader, or Excavator)
• SSE signed competency transcript
• Current open driver’s licence
• Valid Standard 11 Certificate
• A strong commitment to maintaining a positive safety culture
