About the role
This role is responsible to support contract governance and performance management through data-driven insights, ensuring compliance with commercial terms and enabling proactive cost and value optimisation across supplier agreements.
In this role, you will:
- Proactive ownership of procurement projects including reporting across Indigenous, Sustainability, and Emissions domains, requiring independent problem-solving and initiative.
- Assist in negotiation planning by identifying cost reduction opportunities through market trends, supplier innovations, and alternative offerings.
- Ensure all analysis includes measurable target outcomes related to cost savings and/or operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Procurement management and key internal stakeholders to establish baselines for upcoming tender activities.
- Develop or coordinate development of a Power BI dashboards integrated with Excel to capture KPI performance over the duration of each contract, consolidating diverse data sources and streamlining manual processes.
- Ensure the dashboard provides a clear visual representation of KPI trends over time and is customised for each contract or service while maintaining a replicable structure to avoid starting from scratch for future builds
- Conduct quarterly reviews of actual supply volume and cost performance to proactively identify trends that may lead to cost-saving opportunities or potential supplier disputes.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Law, Applied Science, or another relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement and supply chain roles, with mining and/or construction industry experience considered highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive mining/construction industry knowledge – current practices and standards.
- Excellent communication skills – able to interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Time management, ability to complete tasks on time Working knowledge of the JD Edwards system.
