About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor with demonstrated experience motivating and leading a team of electricians on the maintenance of electric drive haul trucks, mobile plant and support facilities. Experience in fleet management systems will be of benefit but not essential.
The role offered is on a 2/2 Roster with an attractive renumeration package and interstate flights offered for the right candidate.
As one of the THIESS Iron Bridge Electrical Supervisors, you will be a trusted advisor to the Maintenance Leaders, expertly advising and directing your team to ensure the highest level of electrical maintenance practices.
As part of your role you will:

Ensure that electrical equipment, plant and installations are installed and tested in accordance with the Act and maintained in safe working conditions

Ensure that all work carried out by persons in relation to electrical plant and installations at the mine are adequately supervised
- Stop the use of any electrical plant or installation at the mine considered to be dangerous
- Report to the site managers any situation which may affect the safe use of electricity or contravene the Act;

Investigate and report details of the following:
- (i) any electric shock or burn received by a person;
- (ii) any fire suspected to be caused by electricity;
- (iii) any dangerous occurrence involving electricity which could have caused injury to a person;

Record up to date information in the project electrical log book kept under the WHS (Mines) Regulation 641C requirement
About you

You will be required to hold
-
A WA electrical licence without restrictions issued under the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991

HV Switching Operations training
-
Have completed the Schedule 26 training and hold the two units of competency:
BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs
BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management.

Electrical maintenance experience in a mining operation specific to electric drive haul trucks, mobile plant maintenance and electrical statutory requirements and testing.

Sound understanding of the Electrical Licensing Regulations, WHS Act and Regulations

Working knowledge of the AS/NZS electrical standards
- Supervisory and management experience of a team of tradespersons.
- Experience working with permit to work systems.

Experience working with CMMS
