About the role
This role is responsible for assisting with the development and continuous improvement of preventative maintenance schedules and documentation for the Thiess Group globally. The role demonstrates a strong understanding of whole-of-life asset strategies and applies this knowledge to provide effective strategic planning support.
In this role, you will:
- Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Strategy & Support team to improve maintenance strategies and supporting documentation
- Work collaboratively with onshore planning teams to provide proactive, high-quality support
- Review and assess strategy change requests holistically, prioritising standardisation and consistency without compromising safety or cost
- Analyse completed service documentation to identify opportunities for improvement
- Review service bills of materials to improve tool time and reduce wastage.
- Promote the effective and consistent use of the JDE maintenance system to ensure accurate and reliable maintenance records across the business
- Contribute to the ongoing digitalisation of maintenance processes across the group
- Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance work through enhanced planning practices and new technologies
- Follow the Thiess Change Management Process for all proposed changes to Asset Strategies & or Design Registrations
About you
- Trade qualification / Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experience
- Experience in maintenance operations with large mining equipment
- Experience in maintenance activities for large mining equipment
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Competent in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. JDE)
- Knowledge of contract management, including subcontractors
