What you’ll do

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you’ll play a key role in attracting and hiring top talent across Thiess’ technical services and corporate functions, including Engineering, HR, Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Technology. You’ll partner with leaders to deliver tailored recruitment strategies that align with our business goals and EVP.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for corporate roles, from briefing to offer, ensuring a seamless and engaging candidate experience.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong relationships with hiring managers and HR business partners to understand workforce needs and deliver strategic hiring solutions.
  • Sourcing Strategy: Use innovative sourcing techniques to identify and engage high-calibre professionals across diverse corporate disciplines.
  • Employer Branding: Champion Thiess’ EVP and “Make Your Mark” messaging across all candidate touchpoints, ensuring consistency and impact.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Embed inclusive hiring practices and proactively source talent from underrepresented groups.
  • Process Excellence: Leverage recruitment systems and data to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
  • Market Insights: Provide market intelligence and benchmarking to support workforce planning and talent strategy.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong foundation in engineering or corporate recruitment, ideally gained within large or complex organisations. You’ll be confident managing multiple priorities and building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business. Your approach will be data-informed and candidate-centric, with a commitment to inclusive hiring practices and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in corporate and engineering recruitment, ideally within large or complex organisations in the mining sector
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills as a strategic talent advisory partner
  • Exceptional skills in using innovative sourcing tools and strategies to identify, engage and build high-calibre talent pools
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities with agility and professionalism
  • Experience using ATS platforms and recruitment analytics
  • A passion for delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences
  • Commitment to inclusive hiring and promoting diverse talent pipelines

Desirable:

  • Experience recruiting in mining, construction, or heavy industries is advantageous but not essential
