About The Role

As the next Mining Supervisor/OCE at our Thiess Mount Pleasant Operations, you will provide effective production and safety leadership to the project production crew ensuring that production targets are met, a safe and healthy workforce for all employees is maintained and community & environmental compliance is adhered to.

Recent additions to our current fleet include new Liebherr diggers and new Caterpillar drills including further expansion of fleet requirements due to an expanding operation. We are located a short 2.5 km from Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley and pride ourselves on being a respected world class operation.

Working an even time rotating 5/4 4/5 5/5 roster, you will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.

Additionally, you will:

  • Champion for all safety management plans and procedures
  • Effectively communicate with other departments
  • Provide strong leadership
  • Ensure production targets are met
  • Conduct toolbox talks and shift prestart talks
  • Conduct statutory inspections of an open cut operation

About You

You are a high achieving and focused OCE with previous experience in a similar role. You are committed to driving a high performing and inclusive team.

  • NSW OCE Certificate of Competency
  • Experience in leading a high performance team
  • Commitment to HSEC
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fluid/dynamic environment
  • Ability to work in an adaptive team
  • Experience with computer-based data and management tools (e.g. Infomine)
