About The Role

Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres south-east of Moranbah which commenced mining operations mid-2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (Autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as construction of the mine infrastructure.

We are currently seeking a Mine Control Supervisor to join our Autonomous Haulage System Team at Olive Downs Complex. Working a 7/7 Dayshift/Nightshift roster and reporting to the Superintendent Mine Control, your duties will include:

  • Provide direction to the AHS Mining team and implement strategies that shape the culture and promote a safe, supportive and friendly working environment
  • Effectively communicate and foster collaborative relationships across the operation and support functions in accordance with the Site Establishment plan, Project Management plans and the sites SHMS
  • Proactive mindset focusing on KPI’s and continuous improvement across people, process and technology with implementation of improvement actions to safety, utilisation, productivity and reliability
  • Ensure there is effective and current business continuity plan in place for Mine Control
  • Demonstrate your commitment to safety and adhere to Site Safety Management Systems

About you

  • Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to coach in a mining environment
  • Relevant experience in adapting to a dynamic environment to meet outcomes with Autonomous Haulage Systems such as Minestar Command and/or Komatsu FrontRunner systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment operations work methods
  • Excellent time management, communication skills and collaboration experience across maintenance, and production process safety to ensure maximisation of performance
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
