About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehousing Lead to join our Group Assets team based in Welshpool, supporting the operations of our project and facility warehouses.

In this role, you will lead a team of warehouse specialists, ensuring warehouse inventory is effectively managed within the group’s governance framework whilst meeting the operational needs of our Australian projects.  You will be responsible for ensuring that both team and business objectives are met through the effective management of warehouse functions and delivery of work. Additionally, this role will drive a hands-on approach to warehouse process and service level improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of warehouse specialists supporting multiple project and facility warehouses.
  • Drive delivery of work tasks to ensure team and business goals are achieved.
  • Support warehouse operations across all three project life phases (Mobilisation, BAU, Demobilisation).
  • Ensure operations understand the value proposition of recommendations and get these endorsed.
  • Ensure the warehouse management system is utilised effectively to ensure consistency and transparency across the business and records are maintained accurately.
  • Lead the governance of warehousing processes to ensure operations are aligned and compliant.
  • Regular and adhoc reporting to monitor and improve warehouse performance.
  • Lead process improvements and efficiencies to storage space utilisation.
  • Lead the management of warehouse stocktake requirements, ensuring governance and process compliance.
  • Review and development of warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and provide technical knowledge to support warehouse operations.
  • Lead warehouse operations reviews and audits. 

About You

  • A qualification in supply chain, preferably in inventory or warehouse operations
  • 10 + years in Inventory and warehouse management experience
  • Experience in asset maintenance warehousing and inventory management processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and inventory management software
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and influence outcomes
  • Proven ability to drive commercial outcomes
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and change management skills
  • Ability to travel to site as required to lead Warehouse improvements and support requirements
