ABOUT THE ROLE
As our next Auto Electrician reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Thiess Rehabilitation is currently seeking experienced Auto Electricians for an opportunity at Ensham mine which is located 40km east of Emerald. Thiess Rehabilitation is committed to delivering mine rehabilitation services at Ensham over a 3.5 year term and are looking for people to be part of this exciting project.
- Work safely and comply with the Site Safety Health and Management System.
- Be highly motivated and committed to deliver quality results.
- Perform diagnostic, repairs and maintenance of the fleet in the workshop and in the field.
- Maintain site GPS and communication systems on the fleets of Cat D10T/ D11T/D11 and Komatsu 475 Dozers, Cat 16M Grader, Cat 777dump trucks, Komatsu PC1250 and CAT 606 Excavators.
- Complete A/C system repairs and overhauls
- Follow work instructions and complete all paperwork to a high standard.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained ensuring a safe work environment.
- Have a good work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement, be able to work as an individual within the maintenance team.
- Commitment to Risk Management and Safe Work.

- 7 on 7 off rotating shift roster
- 12.5-hour day & night shift
- Permanent position

OUR REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role you are required to have:
- A proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of a world-class team to deliver excellence for our clients
- A genuine interest in building a career with Thiess
- Trade qualified Auto Electrician with post trade experience in the mining industry
- Verified skills list (training transcripts)
- Current refrigerant handling licence
- Relevant coal mining certifications
- A commitment to a positive safety culture
