About the role

Suncorp is pursuing an exciting program across Data and AI, delivering a modern data architecture to power our business needs of the future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining Data and AI architecture strategy, target states, transitional states and roadmaps as an integrated part of our wider Enterprise Architecture.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are a must for this role, to clearly engage, present, explain, influence across business and IT, often at executive and CIO level. There is a need to be pro-active, self-motivated, and work autonomously.

Previous experience in Enterprise Architecture, or a similar senior architecture role within Data and AI is expected. Accompanied by specialist knowledge and experience in Data and AI architecture and strategy, including emerging industry concepts.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor degree in IT or related disciplines, or equivalent experience is expected
  • Minimum 10 years IT experience is expected
  • Minimum 5 years IT Architecture experience is expected
  • Architectural certification (e.g. TOGAF or other) is desired
  • Insurance or Financial services experience is desired
  • Familiarity with ArchiMate is advantageous
  • Consulting background is advantageous
