An exciting opportunity for you to join as the Macquarie Capital Operational Risk Management Framework Lead. Macquarie Capital comprises the Green Investment Group and Macquarie Group’s corporate advisory, capital markets, and principal transactions business. The teams work on some of the largest and most high-profile infrastructure transactions in the world, providing you with broad exposure, variety and the opportunity to apply your expertise in a truly commercial context.
Located in Sydney, you will report directly into the Macquarie Capital Global Business Operational Risk Director and use your understanding of operational risk management to implement successful risk frameworks globally.
As the Lead of the Framework team you will own the Macquarie Capital global frameworks, risk reporting and perform hands on assurance reviews. You will demonstrate your strong risk knowledge by executing strategic initiatives to continuously improve Macquarie Capital’s risk management techniques and by developing and coaching the operational risk team on best practices.
As a confident and resilient leader with strong analytical and problem solving skills you will drive and coordinate the team’s operational risk management framework activities to strengthen internal controls, assurance programs and reporting. In addition, you will provide support and education to ensure adherence to Macquarie’s policy requirements.
Using your strong interpersonal skills, you will partner with all areas of the business including the Macquarie Capital Senior Management and central Risk Management Group stakeholders. You will have an ability to work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment and provide clear, practical and risk-based guidance.
You will have 10+ years of previous experience in operational risk or related risk role and have exceptional judgement in managing risk and frameworks.
