The Visiting Assistant Professor position at the Department of Physics and Astronomy in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Toledo is responsible for teaching with limited associated service activities in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Primary activities will include teaching several algebra and / or calculus based introductory physics courses or other courses based on department needs each Fall and Spring semester. Excellence in effective teaching practices and implementation of pedagogical techniques designed to improve student success and the student experience are required for satisfactory job performance. The new Visiting Assistant Professor will also be expected to substantially contribute to assessment of their courses and to implement revisions from those assessments to best meet the needs of University of Toledo students. This position will be initially for one academic year and renewable for up to three years based on satisfactory academic performance.
