The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate or Professor in Acute Care Surgery (Emergency General Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care) to join our dynamic, growing team The ACS surgeon reports to the Chairman of the Department of Surgery and represents UT to internal and external constituents to promote, facilitate, and disseminate clinical, education and research activities. The University of Toledo is an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center. The Acute Care Surgery Team is composed of surgical intensivists (surgeons and anesthesiologists), covering a 10 bed SICU; 4+trauma surgeons and 3 general surgeons share the trauma/emergency surgery call, supported by a team of Advanced Practice Providers and General Surgery Residents. As part of your duties, you will be expected to teach medical students, PA students, residents, APPs and nurses. You will also be expected to participate in the outreach, prevention, and growth of the surgical team efforts of the Department.
