About the role:
- Salary: $109,079 - $113,933 + Salary Packaging (providing tax benefits of up to $18,550)
- Part-time position located in Cockburn, WA 6164
- Travel required to other Rocky Bay locations throughout the Perth metro area
As part of the Assistive Technology Service (ATS), you will support our primary therapy teams and their customers to work towards their assistive technology goals.
You will collaborate and support with all aspects of the AT process including assessment, analysis, trials and supplier liaison as well as funding applications and set up and training.
Travel throughout the Perth metropolitan area (primarily south of the river) including our location in Mandurah to support therapists as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Dependent on your skill-set, you may be involved with:
- 24 hour postural care including complex wheelchair seating and supported lying
- Assistive technology including complex daily living aides
- Home Modifications
- Advanced technology including environmental controls and alternate access
You will also have the opportunity:
- Develop strong working relationships with suppliers, both locally and interstate as required
- Advocate for Assistive Technology needs at a systems level, i.e. NDIS and other funding bodies
- Streamline assistive technology processes within clinical services
- Research, introduce and promote best practices, including new and innovative Assistive Technology options
Rocky Bay is looking for individuals who have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Significant experience in the assessment, analysis and prescription of Assistive Technology Equipment
- Strong report writing skills and extensive experience in completing AT applications
- Experience in mentoring and supporting staff with AT enquiries
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly developed analytical and problem solving abilities
- Well-developed time management skills and ability to prioritise competing demands.
