We are looking for a permanent full time Accounts Officer to join our finance team.  This is a fast paced and vital role for the organisation and would be a great steppingstone for the right person in their accounting career. 

Rocky Bay is a leading not for profit provider of disability services, offering choice and independence to thousands of children and adults living with disability across Western Australia.  We have some exciting times ahead and it is an excellent time to be joining us as we continue to grow.

In this role you will report to the Financial Accountant and be responsible for:

• Ability to process accurate accounts and understand the importance of debtors and creditors in the finance process.
• Manage and reconcile all general ledgers accounts daily.
• Generate invoices to customers in accordance with service agreement contract.
• Compile and run reports and analyse data to determine trends and possible issues.
• Familiarisation of client’s contracts on invoicing and rechargeable items
• Assist accounts payable as and when required.
• Generate monthly reconciliation reports on accounts as assigned.
• Monitor and improve financial procedures to achieve best practice.
• Manage email queues and enquiries. 
• Performing credit card transaction reconciliation

What we need from you

• A positive can-do attitude and an inquiring mind to find solutions to problems.
• High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills each and every time
• Ability to work at pace and with minimal supervision.
• Understand basic accounting principles. 
• Minimum three years’ experience as a bookkeeper or similar Accounts officer position
• Knowledge of finance systems and processes
• Competency in Microsoft suites
• Excellent customer service and positive outlook to an often-repetitive position
• Understanding of project accounting
• Willingness to be accountable and offer recommendations for improvements to processes.
